Sprill - The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle starts off with the line "It was a sunny day in the Bermuda Triangle..." which is a sure sign that something is about to go wrong! Sprill the fox is spending a quiet afternoon on the ocean when he is kidnapped by aliens and taken deep under the sea! He is forced to help them solve the mystery of a magical pearl before the aliens will let him go.

Sprill's alien captors direct him to a series of underwater locations to begin searching for clues to unravel the mystery of the pearl. If Sprill is successful, the pearl can be used save the planet, but it won't be easy to find.

This new hidden object game begins when the aliens send you to a sunken ship to start your quest. A list of items to find within each setting will appear on the side of the scene and you will have a (rather generous) time limit to find the needed items. Search high and low to find everything by scanning the setting and clicking on the items as you locate them. If you get stuck, you can use a hint to help you, but don't waste them or you might find yourself out of luck.

The various items are all hidden within the background. Some are very easy to find but others take a lot of hunting and hawk-like vision to spot. However, within almost every level, there are additional hints you can earn by finding variously shaped and colored question marks and clicking on them. These will become very useful as the timer runs low or if you have to find items that you aren't familiar with, such as a balalaika or numbers of amphorae.

After every few levels, you will have to complete a different mechanical puzzle in order to proceed to the next location. These puzzles are similar to the ones found in the Mystery Case Files games, though far less challenging. There weren't very many of them, which is a shame as they break up the monotony nicely.

Within these puzzles, you will be presented with a challenge such as finding a magic shell. In order to accomplish that goal, you will have to figure out a series of steps to maneuver the items on the screen. For instance, one of the puzzles involves dropping lead weights (perhaps cannonballs?) through peg boards onto a seesaw style contraption and then launching one of them up in the air and catching it with a magnet. Once you move the magnet to the center of the screen, a magical item appears...

Review from: Game Mile

Our little character has decided to go fishing to the famous Bermuda Triangle. He couldn't even fancy what the whole trip will lead him to... One moment while relaxing aboard his ship the fox felt something strange was going on with his head. When he regained his conscience, he found himself on the bottom of the ocean, and, which amazed him greatly, he felt absolutely no discomfort, for he was able to breathe. This was the work of small green aliens he saw around him.

The aliens told our hero about their problem. Yes, aliens also have problems, whatever you could think. Their home planet, Akvatar, is in danger, and only the Pearl of Poseidon can save it. And...I'm sure you guessed! And that's correct - the Pearl is on one of the ships which have been sinking in the area for quite a long time. Many people taken hostages as Sprill have tried to find it before, but none succeeded. Now Sprill has to do it, otherwise he will be forced to stay underwater forever. And what about all the interesting things waiting for him on the surface? Surely, the courageous fox is determined to complete the mission and return back to his beloved Earth.

This is what the story says. And the game play is quite simple and presents absolutely no problems - you have to examine rooms on different ships to find clues concerning the possible whereabouts of the precious Pearl. For each level you are given a list of items to find, and a number of hints to help you...

Natalie Brooks - Secrets of Treasure House brings to life the story of a young woman who has inherited her grandmother's house. Join Natalie on a journey to unravel the mystery of the house and find the treasure contained therein. Meet a series of characters along the way that can help you discover the secrets, though beware - not everyone has Natalie's best interest at heart. Act fast, because the city has plans to build a road right through the property!

Similar in some ways to the hugely popular games like Azada and Dream Chronicles, this adventure mystery puzzler is graced with beautiful graphics and an immersive storyline. Bringing together several popular genres, Natalie Brooks - Secrets of Treasure House offers something for almost every gaming taste, whether you enjoy hidden objects, logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, adventure, or mystery.

The story line unfolds via a series of comic strip screens and also through the interaction between Natalie and the characters she encounters on her quest. I found the tale very intriguing from the search for the hidden treasure to the revelations about the other character's hidden motives. The tale was engrossing enough to make me want to keep playing just to see what happened, though it could have been enhanced with a clearer translation of the text into English. The ending was rather abrupt and left me scratching my head a bit. Several things were alluded to in the story but never explained or finished before the game ended.

Each "level" consists of a scene in which you use the mouse to interact with the objects. Clicking on an object can add the item to your inventory for later use, cause Natalie to give you a hint about it, or add important information to your notebook. At times you will need to use the items you've picked up to interact with other objects on the screen. For instance, in one level you need to locate and collect some batteries that are scattered around the room. Once you've collected them, you can use the batteries to activate a robot that will then lead to another clue. You are also given a magnifying glass that is quite useful when you need to look at an item for a closer inspection.

The main drawback of this game for me was the poor language in the text. It's doubtful that English is the primary language of the developers. The grammar and spelling errors detracted from the flow of the story - especially during the dialogue between characters - and also presented certain unnecessary challenges within the hidden object mini puzzles. When marketing to a primarily English speaking audience, it would behoove the developer to invest in decent translations...

The best way to figure out which key goes first, is to press all four keys.
The one that stays in the middle for the longest amount of time will be the first one you will need to press.
The key that goes back to its original position the fastest is usually the last one in the combination.
Click on the cabinet that is on the top left side. Once it expands, click on the petition with the red seal.
Place the "Rock" CD into the CD player and Mr. Edison will wake up.
Give him the petition first and then the pen...

Review from: GameZebo

Museums tend to be rather quiet, studious locales apart from the occasional grade schooler visits (and, not counting the events of Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller). But, not today. All h-e-double hockey sticks has broken loose at the National Museum of History following a 7.6 magnitude earthquake that rocked the city. In fact, it's a frantic room-by-room search and rescue in Escape the Museum.

What started as a warm, beautiful day for Susan Anderson and her daughter Caitlin ends in disastrous suspense when the museum where Susan works is shaken to its core. While able to secure Caitlin safely within the museum, Susan herself is knocked unconscious by falling debris and wakes to a catastrophic shambles. Afterwards it's a frenzied hunt to recover important artifacts while escaping from a maze of debris-barred routes on her way to reunite with Caitlin and flee the devastation together.

In a blend of adventure-style conundrums and hidden-object gameplay, a la Azada and the Dream Chronicles puzzlers, your task in Escape the Museum is to help Susan navigate the crumbling structure by solving a series of 25 object-based puzzles and locating a collection of varied artifacts strewn across some 60 seek-and-find levels. However, it's more than just a string of posers. The game's puzzles and object hunts are knit together via an engaging story, presented in cartoon-style graphics with audio voice-overs, that follows Susan, location-by-location, through the museum. Conversations are handled using a walkie-talkie, cell phone and by e-mail through Susan's handy PDA, which also provides a map of the building.

Object-based puzzles are predominantly of the find-and-combine-items-to-escape-the-room variety. For instance, at one location you need to search a darkened area. This requires a flashlight, which, of course, needs batteries. Other objects nearby include a knife and walkie-talkie. The solution? Open the walkie-talkie with the knife and put its batteries into the light...

Escape the Museum is an utterly fascinating adventure/hidden object game for Windows/Mac that reaches into room escape territory for inspiration. You play as Susan Anderson, a museum curator showing her daughter a dinosaur exhibit when a fierce earthquake rocks the building. Falling debris knocks Susan unconscious, and when she wakes she discovers she's trapped in the room and Caitlin is missing! Find the objects you'll need to reach the exit, then recover precious museum artifacts as you work your way through the rubble searching for your daughter.

Escape the Museum is a lot like Azada or the Dream Chronicles series in that it mixes adventure-style puzzles with light hidden object gameplay. Levels alternate between game modes to keep the experience from growing too dull, and the story is told through a series of cut scenes complete with voice acting. Susan is in contact with several co-workers who provide hints via cell phone, telling her which items she'll need to clear a path to the exit. These usually consist of simple assembly puzzles that require you to locate items or item components and use them in the appropriate area to continue. For example, finding a flashlight and then having to locate batteries and a bulb to make it work, all of which are second nature to room escape fans and adventure enthusiasts alike...

Review from: GameZebo

The little rabbit Fridolin is the latest in a long line of pets to go mysteriously missing in what is becoming a common theme in hidden object game storylines. (Not that we're complaining - only a cruel, heartless person wouldn't jump at the opportunity to rescue cute animals.) In Animal Agents you'll do just that, with the unique option of playing as either Anna or Justin and exploring the story from two different points of view.

Anna enjoys spending her holidays on her uncle's farm, where she's joined by her friend Sarah and Sarah's brother Justin. Unfortunately, any hope of a peaceful vacation is shattered when Sarah's new bunny Fridolin goes missing from her backyard. Anna and Justin find evidence that a burglar has been in the backyard, and these clues lead them on an investigation to find out who's been snatching peoples' pets from the neighborhood.

While gameplay is pretty standard hidden object fare - search through different scenes to look for a series of items on a list, some of which turn out to be important clues - what's nice about Animal Agents is that the clues you'll find while searching carry over into the next phase of the investigation, resulting in a clear and coherent story. For example, finding a bottle of pills and a shred of fabric in the backyard leads Anna to head to the pharmacy to try to identify the pills, and to the tailor to see if the fabric matches any clothing. There are 21 scenes to visit in total, including the animal shelter, hotel, diving school, zoo, scrap yard, train station and stable. These locations are marked on an attractive-looking map of the entire town.

While searching for objects, you can find and click on special items that will bestow bonuses like adding more time onto the clock, or revealing the locations of hard-to-find items. There are a limited number of hints, and unlike some other hidden object games you have to find all of the items (instead of most of them), which can be quite challenging...

Review from: GameZebo

Renowned for its foggy summers, steep hills, eclectic architecture and famous landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and cable cars, San Francisco is now the site of thousands of cleverly hidden objects in Big City Adventure: San Francisco. That's right. If you're a fan of the hard-to-find, you're in for a delightful time in the city on the bay.

So, what's exactly in store for hunt-and-search aficionados? A scavenger's trip of a lifetime!

Big City Adventure: San Francisco is the latest addition to the popular genre of hidden-object games. Set in cosmopolitan San Francisco, it offers you the chance to visit 20 of the city's famous, and not-so-illustrious, landmarks. In the process, you'll learn some interesting and obscure historical facts, as well as collect some cool mementos.

In all, thousands of objects are concealed amid the game's 120 rounds of cluttered-up fun. Included are 60 rounds of treasure hunting interspersed with an additional 60 rounds of entertaining mini-games (comprised of match-three style play, jigsaw puzzles and memory challenges) that provide a transition between destinations. Each hot spot is also described via a "postcard" that offers some interesting bits of info about its history.

Play begins by entering your name and selecting one of six family members (Dad, Mom, Sister, Brother, Grandpa or Grandma) to represent you. Then, it's off to the first local, Alcatraz Island (other spots include Market & Powell, Haight-Ashbury and the Golden Gate Bridge). While the game doesn't feature traditional separate play modes, you can switch at any time between a Timed and Relaxed mode of play from the Options Screen. Still, you'll usually have plenty of time to find most objects even when playing "on the clock."

Like all games in the genre, what you'll find when you land at each location is a menagerie of items, both appropriate and inappropriate to the surroundings, presented in a manner befitting the best hoarders in the business. Some objects will be quite apparent, while others will be cleverly disguised. In either case, your task is to find all the items listed before time runs out.

But, as alluded to above, gameplay is not just about digging through screen after screen of accumulated junk. Interesting mini-games are used as transitions between San Francisco's numerous locales. Three tile games are employed, including the old memory game where you flip tiles over to match item pairs. In another, objects are visible but must be matched with exact replicas displayed below. Otherwise, you incur a penalty. You'll also find a match-three derivation. In each case, the goal is to break the tile by making correct matches. The last mini-game, a standard jigsaw puzzle, breaks up the tile madness...

Review from: BC GAMING

I've always wanted to go to San Francisco on vacation, but it hasn't worked out. So Big City Adventure: San Francisco is as close as I can to visit this city full of rich history and fascinating sites. This hidden object game shares all kinds of facts about the city and 20 of its spots.

The game contains 60 levels, so you visit the same spot a few times and pick up a new fact each time you visit. You discover your new destination by completing a mini-game and then do the hunt for hidden objects at the destination. This one nicely ties the hidden object scene and mini-games with the game's San Francisco theme. Be warned… it starts easy, but it will get harder! Avoid any temptation to feel cocky early on like I did.

Upon finding all the objects in a level, you earn a token that appears on the edge of the map screen. The tokens work their way around the map until you've covered all three sides. This helps track your progress. You earn "Quick Find Bonus" points when you find more than one object quickly or complete more than one move closely in the mini-game.

The ultimate feature in this one that should be a standard in all hidden object games: Letting you know when you click something and it turns out to be nothing. Many of the games don't always "hear" your click and you don't want to click again for fear you'll lose points. Not a problem with Big City Adventure SF. The game shows an icon when you click an object that doesn't appear on the list of things you need to find. I'm currently playing another hidden object game and too many times something I clicked earlier turn out to be one of the objects on the list...

Review from: Game Mile

If you expect to see another monotonous hidden-object clone, I have to disappoint you.

In this game hidden-objects locations contain animated elements just like in Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile.

What's more important, the graphics itself is amazing.

Each location is created by professional hand with love and great sense of humor.

And when you find yourself on the crowded Market Square, you can hear the sound of the cable car bell and feel like having a hot dog.

In terms of difficulty this game is relatively simple. The time periods for each level are long enough not to make you replay each level for 10 times before you can memorize where all hidden objects are located. I'll tell you a secret: me, I've passed 6 locations in 1 hour being a mediocre detective in MCF...
